Editorial policy

Sourcing

We name our sources wherever possible. Quotes come from press conferences, team media sessions, official statements or our own interviews, and we say where we heard them. Second-hand reporting is credited and linked. Anonymous sourcing is used only when the information is in the public interest and an editor knows the identity of the source.

Results and timing data

Classifications, standings and session times come from official Formula 1 timing feeds. If a result is provisional or under appeal, the page says so.

Bylines and expertise

Every story carries the name of the journalist who wrote it, with a profile page listing their beat, experience and contact details. We do not publish under a "staff" byline.

Use of AI

We use AI tools inside the newsroom to suggest headlines, draft summaries, tag entities, check readability and translate our stories into every language we publish in. No article is published on AI output alone: a named human editor verifies every fact, quote and number before publication. Images are photographic or clearly labelled illustrations; we do not publish synthetic images of real events.

Corrections and updates

We fix mistakes quickly and say what changed. Substantive corrections are noted on the story. Developing stories show a visible updated timestamp.

Independence

Advertising and commercial partnerships never influence what we cover. Travel or access provided by a team or promoter is disclosed in the article.

Complaints

Tell us through the contact page. We aim to respond within two working days.
