Azerbaijan Grand Prix: start times and how to watch

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix is the seventeenth round of the 2026 Formula 1 world championship and takes place on the Baku City Circuit from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September.

The race starts at 12:00 BST on Sunday, which is 16:00 local time in Baku. Qualifying is on Saturday at 12:00 BST.

Full weekend timetable (UK time)

  • Friday: Practice 1 at 09:30, Practice 2 at 13:00
  • Saturday: Practice 3 at 08:30, Qualifying at 12:00
  • Sunday: Race at 12:00

Broadcasters

In the United Kingdom every session is live on Sky Sports F1, with highlights on Channel 4 on Sunday evening. In the United States the race is on ESPN, and in Australia it is on Fox Sports and Kayo.

Baku is four hours ahead of UK time, so the race is a lunchtime event for British viewers and an early morning one on the US east coast.
